JOB SUMMARY
LEVEL OF RESPONSIBILITY
• Routine duties based on detailed instruction. Works under direct supervision. Responds to routine questions and problems within standards and guides. Follows established procedures to accomplish requirements of job.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Completes and publishes calibration and testing reports for documentation purposes.
• Perform required testing of various process instruments and safety systems such as ESD, fire detection and gas detection systems.
• Learn fundementals of troubleshooting and maintaining all AC/DC control circuits and components.
• Serves as a technical resource to operations personnel.
• Performs basic maintenance, configuration and calibration of process and safety instrumentation utilized in the multitude of processes involved in electrical generation.
• Complete OGE I&C Training Program.
• All other duties as assigned.
• Provides basic troubleshooting and minor programming modifications for programmable logic control systems.
• Schedules and coordinates daily activities with supervisor.
• Obtain primary authorized employee (PAE) certification under the lock out tag out (LOTO) procedure.
REQUIREMENTS
• Associate's Degree in a technical discipline; Or
• High School Diploma/GED And 1 year experience in Instrumentation & Controls/Industrial Controls, Or
• A certificate of completion from a vocational trade institution in a Instrumentation & Controls/Industrial Controls field, Or
• Prior military service for at least one enlistment as documented on DD Form 214.
WORKING CONDITIONS
• May be exposed to extreme conditions and inclement weather.
• Required to complete Power Supply Training Process.
• May require travel.
• May be required to work at heights up to and exceeding thirty (30) feet, underground and in confined spaces.
• May be required to work overtime and weekends and holidays.
• May be required to work non-standard work schedules to include on-call and call-outs.
• May work under hazardous conditions where physical danger exists due to mechanical equipment.
• Have or obtain all required certifications.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAS)
• Ability to take on additional responsibility.
• Knowledge of AC/DC control circuits and components.
• Basic computer skills using MS Office.
• Basic knowledge of programmable logic controllers and Human Machine Interface equipment and the ability to make minor programming changes under engineering guidance.
• Ability to read and interpret basic electrical and control drawings.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude in the use of hand tools.
• Ability to adopt and practice IIF (Incident and Injury Free) philosophy.
• Basic knowledge of fundamental instrumentation and control concepts.
• Basic knowledge of maintenance, testing, installation and repair of most types of instrumentation and control components.
• Ability to communicate with individuals at various levels throughout the organization.
