Provide system security services across the enterprise and for more than one IT functional area (e.g.data systems, network and/or web).

LEVEL OF RESPONSIBILITY

• Entry level professional. Performs assignments with standardized processes. Works under direct supervision. Resolves questions and problems within established standards and guidelines. Follows established procedures to accomplish requirements of job.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Review and coordinate security policy, program, process and procedure document updates and revisions.

• With supervision document and perform configuration of application systems to provide functionality required by the business.

• With supervision document and update status of reported security events.

• With supervision perform technical support as needed for daily operations, implementation and upgrade projects, and resolution of system issues.

• Document data access requirements.

• Document resolution of issues in the risk register.

• With supervision perform user provisioning and de-provisioning.

• Document user authentication, authorization, and access controls.

• Conduct research for security solutions related to security vulnerabilities, control weaknesses and segregation of duties.

• With supervision identify and document security risks, exposures, and procedures to enhance the organization’s security posture.

• Collect and compile historical data on system access and generate reports and analysis.

• Prepare security analysis reports and findings reports.

• With supervision document test plans, perform testing of application systems, and document results.

• All other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's Degree in technology, business or related field or

• Associate's Degree and 2 years experience in information systems, technology or closely related field or

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years experience in information systems, technology or closely related field. 

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Office environment extensive user of a computer.

• May work outside of normal workday/workweek to meet deadlines and maintain support levels.

• May require travel.

SPECIAL SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

• Member is not required to perform any safety sensitive duties.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAS)

• Basic knowledge of hardware, software, operating systems, networks, databases, or industrial control systems.

• Records maintenance skills.

• Knowledge of physical security deterrence, delay, and response processes and/or technologies.

• Technical skills such as basic programming and/or scripting skills.

• Problem solving skills.

• Ability to communicate technical guidance and instructions to users.
