JOB SUMMARY
LEVEL OF RESPONSIBILITY
- General responsibilities with standardized processes. Works under limited supervision. Resolves routine questions and problems. Refers the more complex issues to higher levels. Follows established procedures to accomplish requirements of job. Some latitude for deviation.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Responsible for the oversight of design, construction, and commissioning of small to moderate projects.
- Typically manage projects up to $2M with lower complexity and risk (A projects). Lower complexity projects could include quality/reliability issues to customers, some financial risk, some self-perform/oversight required, some siting and land acquisition, minimal environmental/regulatory permitting, and/or multiple configuration changes.
- Projects typically involve 1-2 disciplines or asset types (e.g. distribution, transmission, substation, controls, communication, boiler, turbine, etc.).
- Ensures compliance with AFE policy.
- Provide input and feedback for funding, financial analysis, and reporting status on each project.
- May develop project management plans that include project scope verification, project schedules, timelines, milestones, budget estimates, cash flows, work breakdown structures, and resource requirements.
- Develops timetables and priorities for the execution of all design and construction activities of the project.
- Coordinates various OG&E and contractor activities to complete projects on time and within budget.
- Collaborates with project management, planning, land management, design, construction, operations, resource coordination, and supply chain personnel.
- Ensures resource requirements are organized to facilitate efficient utilization and capacity planning.
- Evaluates need for contract assistance.
- Ensures complete and timely project closeout including after-action reviews to achieve continuous improvement.
- May assist project manager on large projects.
- All other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Business, or Construction Management and 2 years Project Management experience (experience performing initiation, planning, monitor and control, executing, and closing of a project); Or
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Business, or Construction Management and 3 years related experience (Project Management, Engineering, Construction, or Utility Operations); Or
- Bachelor's Degree in a Life Science field such as Horticulture, Forestry, Biology, Botany, or Landscape Architecture and 4 years related experience (Project Management, Engineering, Construction, or Utility Operations); Or
- Associate's Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Business, or Construction Management and 6 years related experience (Project Management, Engineering, Construction, or Utility Operations); Or
- High School Diploma/GED and 8 years related experience (Project Management, Engineering, Construction, or Utility Operations).
Preferred Experience:
-
Minimum of six (6) months’ experience supporting or managing joint‑use projects.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Office environment including computer work.
- Outdoor work environment requiring ability to traverse rough terrain, be exposed to inclement weather, and wear PPE.
- Required to work non-standard (evenings & weekend) hours to accommodate customers and extensive hours to meet deadlines.
- Required to travel to Company offices and work sites including overnight trips.

- Computer skills with ability to use application software including SAP, CCS, CRTS, ArcFM, and MS Office Suite.
- Ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple prots.

$72,280 - $96,366
