JOB SUMMARY
LEVEL OF RESPONSIBILITY
• General responsibilities with standardized processes. Works under limited supervision. Resolves routine questions and problems. Refers the more complex issues to higher levels. Follows established procedures to accomplish requirements of job. Some latitude for deviation.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Projects typically involve 1-2 disciplines or asset types (e.g. distribution, transmission, substation, controls, communication, boiler, turbine, etc.).
• Typically manage projects up to $2M with lower complexity and risk (A projects). Lower complexity projects could include quality/reliability issues to customers, some financial risk, some self-perform/oversight required, some siting and land acquisition, minimal environmental/regulatory permitting, and/or multiple configuration changes.
• Provide input and feedback for funding, financial analysis, and reporting status on each project.
• Ensures compliance with AFE policy.
• Responsible for the oversight of design, construction, and commissioning of small to moderate projects.
• Evaluates need for contract assistance.
• Ensures resource requirements are organized to facilitate efficient utilization and capacity planning.
• May assist project manager on large projects.
• Ensures complete and timely project closeout including after-action reviews to achieve continuous improvement.
• Develops timetables and priorities for the execution of all design and construction activities of the project.
• May develop project management plans that include project scope verification, project schedules, timelines, milestones, budget estimates, cash flows, work breakdown structures, and resource requirements.
• Collaborates with project management, planning, land management, design, construction, operations, resource coordination, and supply chain personnel.
• Coordinates various OG&E and contractor activities to complete projects on time and within budget.
• All other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Business, or Construction Management and 2 years Project Management experience (experience performing initiation, planning, monitor and control, executing, and closing of a project); Or
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Business, or Construction Management and 3 years related experience (Project Management, Engineering, Construction, or Utility Operations); Or
• Bachelor's Degree in a Life Science field such as Horticulture, Forestry, Biology, Botany, or Landscape Architecture and 4 years related experience (Project Management, Engineering, Construction, or Utility Operations); Or
• Associate's Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Business, or Construction Management and 6 years related experience (Project Management, Engineering, Construction, or Utility Operations); Or
• High School Diploma/GED and 8 years related experience (Project Management, Engineering, Construction, or Utility Operations).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrate knowledge of electrical distribution systems, construction standards, and distribution operating procedures.
- Ability to make decisions and exercise good judgment based on customer interaction and Company policy.
- Ability to adjust and adapt across varied working conditions and evolving business.
- Knowledge of electrical distribution systems, construction standards, and distribution operating procedures.
- Working knowledge of IVM (Integrated Vegetation Management).
- Knowledge of state and federal regulatory requirements related to vegetation management.
- Knowledge of proper herbicide use and techniques.
- Knowledge of various tree species in the work areas and knowledge of their typical growth rates and patterns.
- Knowledge and a legal understanding of easements and Rights-of-Ways.
- Strong knowledge of vegetation management practices and potential impact of vegetation on electrical systems.
- Demonstrated strong computer skills and knowledge with the ability to use application software including SAP, MRK, Overstory, ArcFM, and MS Office Suite.
- Ability to interface with diverse personalities and receive instruction, guidance, and direction from others.
- Ability to always maintain a professional demeanor.
- Ability to interact effectively and handle difficult situations with internal and external stakeholders.

WORKING CONDITIONS
• Required to travel to Company offices and work sites including overnight trips.
• Required to work non-standard (evenings & weekend) hours to accommodate customers and extensive hours to meet deadlines.
• Outdoor work environment requiring ability to traverse rough terrain, be exposed to inclement weather, and wear PPE.
• Office environment including computer work.

• Member is required to drive in order to perform their job duties. Member is assigned a company vehicle and/or member must drive a company and/or personal vehicle to complete company business at least 50% of time.

• Computer skills with ability to use application software including SAP, CCS, CRTS, ArcFM, and MS Office Suite.

• Knowledge of OG&E electrical system (generation, transmission, substation, distribution including design, construction, maintenance, and operations.
