JOB SUMMARY
Facilitates the project lifecycle for multiple large capital generation, transmission, substation, and distribution projects. Works directly with Project Managers to monitor and control scope, schedule, cost and risk. Ensures adherence to capital budget and compliance with the AFE policy. Engages key stakeholders and management, providing accurate and timely project and portfolio reporting. Administers project management processes and software.
LEVEL OF RESPONSIBILITY
Responsibilities are varied and complex. Often works outside area of assigned duties. Applies advanced skills in multiple areas. Resolves complex issues which impact business operations both inside and outside own department. Makes unreviewed decisions related to the area of responsibilities. Opinions carry significant weight in policy and strategy decisions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Collaborate with the Project Managers to establish clear project goals and objectives.
• Develop and mange project budgets, including monthly forecasting and tracking of actuals.
• Develop and manage project schedules, tracking progress and identifying deviations.
• Review project data and reporting to identify potential issues and recommend correct actions.
• Work with project team to coordinate both internal and external resources, and materials.
• Establish project performance standards and compare actual performance to these standards.
• Establish routine project performance reports, provide routine reporting and make recommendations for improving project progress.
• Work with project team to identify, qualify, quantify, and develop mitigation plans for project risks.
• Routinely present portfolio and project reporting to management.
• Lead and direct work of less experienced project controls staff.
• Administration of the project management information system and oversight of any improvements or upgrades.
• Track portfolios and projects against annual and multi-year Capital targets and provide routine reporting.
• Consolidate and prepare portfolio and project data for annual and multi-year Capital planning.
• All other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Construction Science, Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Finance. And 6 years Project Controls or Project Management experience. And Project Management Professional Certificate (PMP); Or
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Construction Science, Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Finance. And 7 years related capital project experience. And Project Management Professional Certificate (PMP); Or
• Associate’s Degree in Business, Construction Management, Engineering Technology, or Finance. And 10 years related capital project experience. And Project Management Professional Certificate (PMP); Or
• High School Diploma/GED and 12 years related capital project experience (Construction, Engineering, Finance, or Planning) And Project Management Professional Certificate (PMP).
• Project Management Professional (PMP) is Required
WORKING CONDITIONS
• Use of computer equipment, including a keyboard, mouse, and computer monitor.
• Sedentary to light work exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
• Subject to normal office noise levels.
• May be required to work non-standard hours.

• Demonstrated advanced knowledge of planning techniques, including creating schedules, resource allocation, and risk management.
• Demonstrated advanced understanding of budgeting, cost control, and cost analysis related to projects.
• Demonstrated advanced knowledge of project management tools and software.
• Experience with SAP is preferred. Experience with Primavera P6 and/or EcoSys, and Power BI is required.
• Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with project teams and management.
• Demonstrated skill in managing multiple tasks, prioritizing work, and meeting deadlines.
• Demonstrated strong ability to track project details accurately and ensure quality reporting.
• Demonstrated capacity to analyze project information to identify risk and issues, and make informed decisions.
• Demonstrated flexibility to handle changing project requirements, unexpected challenges, and shifting priorities.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, vendors, and contractors.
• Demonstrated strong leadership skills to guide project teams and drive successful outcomes.
• Demonstrated ability to provide guidance to less experienced or skilled project controllers.
• Ability to identify gaps in business process, recommend and implement improvements.
