JOB SUMMARY

Supports Power Supply project related work through all 5 phases of the Identify, Plan, Schedule, Execute and Close (IPSEC) work flow model. Responsible for correct structuring of objects for project cost flow, procurement, and work flow management. Works with internal and external resources to establish and create SAP Plant Maintenance master data structures, material master data, and optimized plant inventories to support life cycle sustainment for assets installed through capital projects. Gathers and coordinates stakeholder requirements for asset creation and retirement, inventoried and non-inventoried materials, and works to optimize cross plant stocking opportunities.

LEVEL OF RESPONSIBILITY

• General responsibilities with standardized processes. Works under limited supervision. Resolves routine questions and problems. Refers the more complex issues to higher levels. Follows established procedures to accomplish requirements of job. Some latitude for deviation.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• May review, approve, reject, and correct PM master data content created by external resources.

• Will work with other resources for correct assignment of other objects to master data elements such as FERC assignments, WBS assignments, and plant assignments.

• Responsible for governance of material master creation requests within Power Supply as the Business Unit Material Coordinator role to confirm that new material requests are set to standard configuration and duplicate object prevention prior to processing by Supply Chain.

• Maintains tools for PM master data creation for regular dashboard and stakeholder reporting of progress towards accountable project objectives and deliverables.

• Prior to capital project closeout, works with project managers to close or complete project related objects such as open commitments, PM orders, and network activities.

• Will have transactional capability and responsibility to process master data elements outside of SAP for review and approval by self and others, upload of approved master data elements to SAP non production client for further review by other planning resources and customer stakeholders.

• As requirements develop, may also support the above mentioned activities related to projects managed by the plants and UTS large projects.

• This includes, but is not limited to: functional locations, equipment, task list, bills of materials, maintenance items, preventative maintenance plans, physical and electronic maintenance support document storage and references, and material masters with a primary objective to have project related assets ready for hand over to the asset owners at or near commissioning prior to project closeout.

• Works with plant asset owners, project managers, design engineers, reliability services, safety, and environmental resources to create SAP plant maintenance (PM) master data and material masters for life cycle sustainment of assets installed through Power Supply's capital project activities.

• Works through the required approvals and material master data collection for all chemicals associated with new asset life cycle sustainment.

• For project related work, coordinates with project design engineers and plant stakeholders to have work clearance management (WCM) objects in place for safe isolation as energy sources are established through the project construction cycle.

• Responsible for working with project accountable members to move project objects through used and useful status at time of commissioning and through to business closure.

• Responsible to promote a safety culture by modeling and coaching behaviors consistent with IIF (Incident and Injury Free).

• This can include the support activities of work order creation and management, material and service requisitioning, correctly identifying and structuring cost flow, object retirement activities, and project based reporting.

• All other duties as assigned.

• Supports Power Supply Services SAP activities through capital project and work order creation from Pre Project Work through Project closure.

REQUIREMENTS

•  High School Diploma/GED and (5) years work experience in a technical, mechanical, or operational role (e.g., Instrument and Control Technician, Plant Mechanic, Auxiliary or Control Operator, or Plant Electrician) in a power plant, manufacturing, or process plant; Or

• High School Diploma/GED and (7) years work experience in Material Handling or other daily plant operations support role.

• Must have previous experience in plant maintenance management and planning activities, process troubleshooting, scheduling, and process improvement.

• Must have Previous experience in an enterprise resource planning or asset management software environment (SAP, Maximo, or other).

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Requires travel within the company service territory and may include overnight stays.

• May be required to wear PPE such as hard hat, safety glasses, flame retardant clothing, steel toed boots, hearing protection as applicable.

• May be exposed to extreme conditions and inclement weather.

• May require repetitive bending, stooping, walking, reaching overhead, and climbing stairs/ladders.

• May be required to lift fifty (50) pounds or more.

• Primarily an office environment and with regular trips to plant and corporate locations.

• May be required to work non-standard work schedules for either planned or emergent work opportunities.

SPECIAL SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

• Member will not be required to drive in order to perform their job duties.

• Member is not required to perform any safety sensitive duties.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAS)

• Strong Computer skills with knowledge of, but not limited to, MS-Office Suite (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and SAP.

• Demonstrated time-management skills to deliver results.

• Ability to troubleshoot and diagnosis problems, and resolve them effectively.

• Ability to work with scripting languages for batch and mass up loading of objects to SAP.

• Ability to interact effectively, and professionally with team members, leaders, vendors, contractors, project managers and others.

• Ability to communicate effectively in speech and writing.

• Demonstrated capability to self-manage activities and the product created with a focus towards continuous improvement.

• Ability to manage multiple projects and assignments as required by workload through prioritization to meet deadlines.
