JOB SUMMARY

Reviews, analyzes, forecasts, and evaluates business functions, operations, processes, and information to develop or modify databases, data models, application systems, analytical tools, or reports in support of business objectives. Establishes and maintains effective working relationships to gather key information required to understand, plan for, and accomplish business objectives. The Systems Analyst understands and performs technical functions to configure and maintain reliable, accurate, and performance application systems. The Systems Analyst is a bridge between business functions and technical systems development.

LEVEL OF RESPONSIBILITY

• General responsibilities with standardized processes. Works under limited supervision. Resolves routine questions and problems. Refers the more complex issues to higher levels. Follows established procedures to accomplish requirements of job. Some latitude for deviation.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Follow change control procedures and standards.

• All other duties as assigned.

• Perform testing of application systems during implementation, upgrades and functionality changes.

• Document configuration of application systems.

• Prepare technical specifications for application development.

• Perform Level 2 technical support and coordinate resources as needed to troubleshoot and resolve all level 2, 3, and 4 application systems problems.

• Participate in implementation of application systems.

• Provide support to process design teams with knowledge of applications systems.

• Work with information architects to implement data model changes in application systems.

• Perform maintenance on application systems such as archiving, day-to-day process support, master data changes and assistance with security authorizations.

• Broad functional understanding of application systems supported; apply functional and technical knowledge of application systems to support the end-user.

• Understand role of application system in supporting business processes.

• Fully establish relationships with key business unit personnel to identify ways to improve the effectiveness of application systems.

• Act as data expert for business intelligence projects and activities.

• Coordinate application system outages and establish service levels with business users and Systems Administrators.

• Conduct prototypes and perform configuration of application systems to provide functionality required by the business.

REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma/GED And 6 years experience working directly with Software Development, System Administration, QA Engineering, or Systems Design/Implementation; Or

• Associate's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, MIS, Business, Engineering, or related discipline, And 4 years experience working directly with Software Development, System Administration, QA Engineering, or Systems Design/Implementation; Or

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, MIS, Business, Engineering, or related discipline, And 2 years experience working directly with Software Development, System Administration, QA Engineering, or Systems Design/Implementation.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous SuccessFactors implementation experience

• MIS Degree

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Office work environment with extensive use of a computer.

• May require extensive travel.

• May be required to work non-standard work schedules.
