JOB SUMMARY
LEVEL OF RESPONSIBILITY
- Complex responsibilities related to primary focus of job area. Uses best practices and in-depth business knowledge to solve complex problems and improve products or services. May adapt procedures, processes and techniques to meet the more complex requirements of position.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Process oil filled electrical equipment; Verify equipment PCB concentration by sampling or PCBS computer program and enter information in WMGT.
- Manage remedial streams for disposal and reclamation (RCRA, used oil, solid waste, recyclables).
- Conduct SPCC, SW3P, RCRA LTSA, and AST compliance activities.
- Inspect and operate equipment (i.e. forklift, sky track, drum dumper, overhead crane, load rigging).
- Operate applicable hand tools.
- Prepare manifests and schedule shipments.
- Maintain an inventory of spill response supplies.
- Segregate and test transformers.
- Maintain stock materials.
- Coordinate spill response and sampling protocol.
- Maintain detailed records and prepare reports for review and submission to regulatory agencies.
- Develop and implement programs to ensure that environmental regulatory obligations are fulfilled.
- All other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
- Five (5) Years Utility Operations experience to include mechanical or technical experience (e.g. Equipment Operator, Remediation Tech, Service Tech,).
- Valid State Driver’s License.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Recent work experience with OG&E in a similar role (which includes contract & contingent labor).
WORKING CONDITIONS
- May work in confined spaces.
- Work in extreme weather conditions.
- Availability for emergency work after normal work hours, weekends, and holidays.
- Availability for travel, including overnight stays, as required.
- Availability to work throughout the company's service territory.
- Availability to work non-standard work schedules, including nights, weekends, holidays, on-call, overtime, and call-outs.
- Exposure to hazardous facilities and equipment, including high voltage.
- Exposure to extreme conditions and inclement weather.
- Operate motor vehicles safely in various conditions.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required.
- Perform physically demanding work in various conditions.
- Use of computer equipment, including a keyboard, mouse, and computer monitor.

- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, solve difficult issues, and take on additional projects as assigned.
